Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs has been a stout advocate for Buffalo for the past year. Last March, he was traded by the Vikings to the Bills and things have gone pretty well.

Throughout the 2020 season, Diggs racked up catches and yards all while touting his quarterback, Josh Allen, and new team. This offseason he’s now putting on his Buffalo hat on early.

On Friday, the Houston Texans and three-time Defensive Player of the Year JJ Watt went their separate ways as he was released. It was a pretty surprising thing for a franchise that has had their fair share of offseason stories already.

After seeing that news, it didn’t take Diggs long to start recruiting.

Taking to his social media account on Twitter, Diggs sent a message directly to Watt. One can conclude from it that Diggs is taking an approach of trying to get Watt on the Bills:

The Bills would have a variety of reasons for approaching the free agent. Watt, who will be 32 next season, certainly appears to still have plenty left in the tank and the Bills’ pass rush was one of the very few areas that was lacking in 2020. Bills head coach Sean McDermott also run a rotation along his defensive line traditionally, helping keep players fresh.

Buffalo and Watt could be a match made in heaven… or at least it appears Diggs thinks so.
