MILWAUKEE — The Nets security guard who shoved Bucks forward P.J. Tucker while Tucker was nose to nose with Kevin Durant will not be allowed to work any more games inside Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum and will not be permitted courtside in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, the NBA said Saturday.
The security guard, Antjuan Lambert, 35, was hired by the team at the request of Durant after he worked for Durant personally. It is common in the NBA for teams to hire the personal security of their stars — and has been for decades — but it is uncommon for those guards to make contact with an opposing team’s player. Lambert would have been suspended regardless of his relationship with any player. That he is tied to Durant personally only heightened the attention the incident received.
