After weeks of rumors, the Brooklyn Nets swung a deal for former NBA MVP James Harden to give the Nets a third superstar to go along with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. While we will have to wait to see all three take the floor at the same time, Saturday night's game provides fans with the opportunity to see Harden and Durant in action. After two quarters of play in Brooklyn, it is the Nets who own a slim lead over the Magic as Harden has recorded eight points, seven assists and five rebounds in the opening 24 minutes.
Following the blockbuster four-team trade which was agreed to on Wednesday, the Nets have been the talk of the association and will now have to prove that this trio can live up to the hype. Saturday night's matchup against the Magic will not give the basketball world a true sense of what the Nets are capable of moving forward as they will still be without Irving but Harden and Durant still provide plenty of intrigue on their own.
