CLEVELAND, Ohio — The NFL playoff picture was uncertain at the beginning of the day, but it’s now a little more clear after early games wrapped up across the league.
We already know that the Cleveland Browns have advanced to their first playoff appearance since the 2002 season with a win against Pittsburgh. Cleveland is locked into the No. 6 seed and the Steelers are locked in at No. 3. The two teams will match up again next week on a day and time to be determined as part of an expanded Wild Card weekend.
The top three seeds in the AFC are set with Kansas City (1), Buffalo (2) and Pittsburgh all locked in. The Titans can wrap up the No. 4 seed with a win at Houston (they’re currently leading in the first half). Indianapolis can grab the No. 4 seed with a win and a Tennessee loss.
If the Titans and Colts both win, Tennessee is the AFC South champ, Indy is the No. 7 seed and Miami is out of the playoffs.

Green Bay locked up the top seed in the conference by beating Chicago. The Rams secured the No. 6 seed and the Bears backed into the No. 7 spot.
Tampa Bay was locked in as the No. 5 seed and will either play Washington or the Giants. If The Washington Football Team beats Philadelphia, it will be the NFC East champions. A loss by Washington hands the division title to New York along with a home playoff game next week.
