Head coach Adam Gase was fired on Sunday night in what was the least surprising coaching move.
What went wrong: Everything? Where do we start? Gase was hired in 2019, shortly after being fired by the Miami Dolphins, with the idea he would be the perfect coach to develop quarterback Sam Darnold and elevate the Jets’ offense. That never happened. The Jets won six of their last eight games in 2019, and the Jets spent last offseason believing they’d be able to compete for the AFC East this year.
