No teams officially played their way into the NCAA Tournament on Wednesday. But at least one might have unofficially played its way out.

Xavier’s overtime loss to Butler in the Big East tournament’s first round quite likely popped the Musketeers’ bubble. We had them as one of the last four teams in before they suffered that Quad 3 loss, and for now they’re out of our field. Xavier’s loss opened the door for Syracuse to eke into the First Four. The Orange play Virginia on Thursday with a chance at earning some security.
